We are open Monday, October 13th, for a regular farm day! No festival on October 13th. Open 9-6

WHEN: Every Saturday & Sunday for 5 WEEKENDS beginning SATURDAY, September 27th THROUGH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  

COST:  Pay upon arrival. No pre-purchase tickets needed.

The entrance fee to The Fall Harvest Festival and Family Playgrounds is $15.00 per PERSON (plus tax), for children and adults.  Children age 2 and under are free!   (Our everyday entrance fee to the Family Play-Grounds is always $6.00 per person.   The Fall Festival event is an additional $9.00 if wanting to attend, for a total of $15.00 for admission, plus tax.)  PUMPKINS SOLD SEPARATELY at .75 cents per pound. **2025 Fall/Winter Season Passholders only pay the Fall Festival event fee of $9.00, since the Season Pass already gives access to the Family Playgrounds until February 28, 2026.

UPON ARRIVAL TO BRAEHEAD FARM ON FALL FESTIVAL WEEKENDS, YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS!

1. PICK-YOUR-OWN front fields – no admission fee to enter this area. You pay for anything you pick. Flowers, Sunflowers, Vegetables and Raspberries, and of course, PUMPKINS! Pumpkins are .75 cents per pound. Check in with the front informational tent or a cashier for field directions or help with pricing. Or you can purchase PRE-PICKED pumpkins and gourds. Shop in the market and stay for lunch and ice cream!
2. Family Playgrounds Admission fee – See a Market cashier or any outside cashier for a WRISTBAND for entrance to the Family Playgrounds. Play on the grounds or in the hay barn, picnic and see the animals. $6.00 per person (children and adults), age 2 and under free (plus tax).
3. Add on The Fall Festival Event to the Family Playgrounds fee – for an additional $9.00 per person (children and adults), age 2 and under free, for a total of $15.00 per person (plus tax), you can get a WRISTBAND to enter the Fall Festival area of the farm. Pumpkins sold separately at .75 cents per pound.

PAY IN THE MARKET or at ONE OF OUR OUTDOOR REGISTERS, get your WRISTBAND to wear in the Family Playgrounds and Fall Festival and join us for:   

• Hayrides around the farm and through the decorated forest!
• A corn maze!
• A scavenger hunt game through the corn maze to find out who stole the farmer’s pies!  So much fun!  Also, educational info along the way!
• Stroll along the Sunflower walk!
• PHOTO OPS!  Bring your cameras for these photo ops!  Be sure to visit the Great Pumpkin for a photo op in the pumpkin patch and more!`
• Play and picnic in the “Family Playgrounds” with the hay barn, corn pit, swings, sand piles, slides, visit the many farm animals and more!
• Pumpkins are sold separately at .75 cents per pound. (Pumpkins not included in the Fall Festival price.) 
• We have pumpkin patches where you can pick the perfect color and size pumpkin!  ALL PUMPKINS ARE SOLD AT .75 CENTS A POUND!
• Visit the Braehead Farm Kitchen for Concessions such as Kettle Korn!   Fresh Apple Cider, dairy fresh ice cream cones including Pumpkin ice cream, candy apples, whoopie pies, cotton candy, pretzels, popcorn, apple cider and more!
• Braehead Farm Kitchen lunch items include our delicious Braehead Farm BBQ with your choice of one of our delicious BBQ sauces!  Hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, chicken salad, grilled chicken, and more!  Gluten Free items too!  You can bring your own lunch!
• Braehead Farm will also have a different food vendor attending each day to offer more variety!
• Shop in the Braehead Market and Bakery for already picked pumpkins, fresh apples and cider, jams, sauces, local honey, dairy fresh ice cream, milk, pork, fresh baked pies and cakes and so much more!
• There is never an admission in the front “pick-your-own fields”, you just pay for what you pick!  We will have lots of pumpkins, squashes, gourds, flowers, sunflowers to pick!  Grab a wagon and pick, then roll it into the market to purchase or you can check out at one of the outdoor checkouts!  You can also join in the Fall Festival in the back of the farm.  Just purchase your wristband at an outdoor or indoor checkout.

*Weekday Fun! The Family Playgrounds is $6.00 per person, age 2 and under free (no festival/no hayrides during the weekdays.)

During the weekdays at Braehead Farm we are Open Daily from 9-6.  Activities during the week, including the October 13th holiday are…

• Play in the “Family Playgrounds”!  $6.00 per Person, age 2 and under free!  Farm animals, hay barn, tree house, sand piles, swings and more!  Enjoy many of the Braehead Farm lunch items and picnic!  (The Fall Festival Area is closed during the weekdays.)  Visit our front “Pick-Your-Own” fields for the perfect pumpkin (no admission) pumpkins are sold at .75 cents a pound.    
• Shop in the Braehead Farm Market where you can purchase a pumpkin already picked!   Enjoy an ice cream cone, popcorn, kettle Korn, fudge, apple butter, cookies, muffins and more!

Note: We do not operate hayrides during the weekdays for guests in the “Family Playgrounds”.  Hayrides during the weekday mornings are reserved and paid for by school groups. Hayrides for guests are on the weekends in the Fall Festival only.

A note for our weekday guests: We do have school groups that come during the week and pick pumpkins, tour the farm, get a reserved hayride and educational lessons.  The groups arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.  Their tours will be spread out around the farm for these lessons and take about two hours, and then they eat lunch.   We do limit the amount of children coming on a school group as to not overload the farm or a tour group.

• Available to pick or purchase in the market: Okra, green beans, yellow squash, zucchini, eggplant, beets, carrots, hot peppers, bell peppers, sweetpeppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes. Also a variety of flowers and sunflowers!
• We are open rain or shine-NO RESERVATION NEEDED TO VISIT!  There is no admission fee to the front pick-your-own fields, just pay for what you pick!

*Daily Play in The Family Playgrounds (where the animals are!) – no reservation needed. The daily admission is $6.00 per person, children and adults.  Age 2 and under are always free.    You pay this admission in the market when you arrive.  You can visit the farm animals, play in the hay barn, play equipment and picnic.  We also offer a Seasonal Pass for unlimited visits during the 6 month pass dates.  It is $25.00 per person, age 2 and under free.

Gather with friends for a farm roast! Here at Braehead Farm we have fire pits, with picnic tables under shade trees in the Family Playgrounds!  These fire pits and tables can be reserved for your special group!   Each fire pit and picnic table (table seats about 10 adults) area is $55.00 and includes the wood for the fire, our staff will get the fire going and will extinguish the fire when finished.   This firepit fee does not include our daily admission fee to the Family Playgrounds of $6.00 per person, age 2 and under free.  Also, during an event such as Fall Festival or the Santa Event, there is an event fee to enter into the event.

You can rent a half a barn, or a whole barn.  (If you rent a half, the other side may be rented to another party.)  See pricing details below for THE RED SHED AND THE BLOCK SHED!

At Braehead Farm we welcome the young…and the young at heart…to come and have a fun filled birthday on the farm!  Reserve  The Red Shed or The Block Shed in the Family Play-Grounds!  Each barn rental includes the rental space AND access for your guests to the admission area of the farm called The Family Playgrounds!  This area is tons of fun and includes a hay barn, corn pit, farm animals, sand piles, slides, a tree deck with slide, and more! (For the general public, this admission area is $6.00 per person, age 2 & under free!) 

Any special events at the farm are not included in the party rental price. The Fall Festival, and our Santa event are an additional $9.00 per person age 2 and under free for included party hosts and party guests, for those wanting to attend.  (The general public will pay $6.00 for the Family Playgrounds and $9.00 for the event for a total of $15.00) 

Spring, Summer and Fall party time slots are 10 AM – 12:00 Noon | 1 PM – 3 PM | 4 PM – 6 PM  (in Winter we close at 5:00 pm so we lose that last party time slot.)   Plus you can arrive a half hour earlier to set up and get a half hour after for cleanup for a total of 3 hours for your party!   The barn is to be left broom clean and trash in the trash cans.   After your 3 hour party, you are welcome to stay as long as you like in the Play-Grounds or on the rest of the farm!  (You must vacate on time so that the next party may start on time.)

RESERVATION PROCEDURE:  We require a deposit to hold and reserve your party date and time.  This deposit is non-refundable within 72 hours prior to the reserved party time.  Please contact the Braehead Farm Office at 540-899-9848, or stop in to reserve your party.  (We will require a $50.00 deposit for half a barn rental and $100.00 deposit for a full barn rental.  The remaining balance is due upon arrival.)   Your party is NOT reserved until the deposit is received.  This can be done over the phone with a credit card or in person in the Braehead Farm Market.  We do NOT hold dates without a deposit.  Emailing your request and inquiring about a date does not reserve a party.   Emails will be responded to and available dates will be given at the time of the email.   To ensure your date at the time of request, you must place a deposit to hold and reserve it.   Please note: Not all staff cashiers can book reservations, please ask for a party coordinator.  Reservations are best to be made during the weekdays of 9-5 with office administrative staff.  If you call on the weekend and an administrative staff member is not available, you can leave a message for a return call for the first bookings on the next weekday business day. The Red Shed is a 1000 sqft enclosed barn with heating and AC. (The AC is in a non-insulated barn, with ceiling fans.  On a very hot humid day with the doors consistently opened and full of guests, it may have difficulty keeping a cool AC temp.)  It has eight, 8′ picnic tables that will seat a total of 80 guests, plus four benches.  It has a front porch overhang area with additional picnic table seating. The seating is separated by the four benches for each side to seat 40 guests (full capacity) and each side has its own entrance for a half barn rental.  If you feel you will go over the 40 person capacity, you will need a whole barn for capacity limit.

Half of The Red Shed – Rents for $150.00 for each side, for the 3 hour time slot. You are allowed up to 30 guests for the $150.00  (adults and children over age 2) for access to the barn and Family Playgrounds.   The capacity for a half a barn is 40 guests.  Each additional guest over the 30 (up to 40 person capacity limit) is $6.00 plus tax per person.  (There is no refund for any guests under the 30 count.)

Whole Red Shed  – Rents for $300.00 for the 3 hour time slot.  You are allowed up to 60 guests for the $300.00  (adults and children over age 2) for access to the barn and Family Playgrounds.   The capacity for a whole barn is 60 guests.  Each additional guest over the 60 (up to 80 person capacity limit) is $6.00 plus tax per person.  (There is no refund for any guests under the 60 count.)

The Block Shed – is a 1000 sqft 3 sided barn like a pavilion.  It has a mulched floor, lighting, ceiling fans and outlets.  It has eight, 8′ picnic tables that will seat a total of 80 guests, plus four benches.   The seating is separated by benches for each side to seat 40 guests and each side has its own entrance for a half barn rental.   If you feel you will go over the 40 person capacity, you will need a whole barn for capacity limit. 

Half of The Block Shed – Rents for $125.00 for each side, for the 3 hour time slot. You are allowed up to 30 guests for the $125.00  (adults and children over age 2) for access to the barn and Family Playgrounds.   The CAPACITY for a half a barn is 40 guests.  Each additional guest over the 30 (up to 40 person capacity limit) is $6.00 plus tax per person.  (There is no refund for any guests under the 30 count.)  

Whole Block Shed – Rents for $250.00 for the 3 hour time slot.  You are allowed up to 60 guests for the $250.00  (adults and children over age 2) for access to the barn and Family Playgrounds.   The capacity for a whole barn is 60 guests.  Each additional guest over the 60 (up to 80 person capacity limit) is $6.00 plus tax per person.  (There is no refund for any guests under the 60 count.)

All parties must register with Braehead Farm and parties are not permitted at Braehead Farm without reservation.

  NOTE:  PARTIES MUST VACATE ON TIME.  LOITERING AFTER HOURS IS NOT ALLOWED.  THE LAST BIRTHDAY PARTY TIME SLOT MUST VACATE THE FARM BY 6:30 pm.

• Parties are not allowed alcohol without Braehead Farm permission and a one day ABC banquet license.  This can be purchased online. Get a Virginia ABC Banquet License
• Only a WHOLE BARN rental will be allowed to serve alcohol.  A half barn rental will not be approved for alcohol.  Alcohol must stay in the barn.  
• MUSIC:  Only a whole barn rental will be allowed music.  Any music in a whole barn is to be complementary to the barn.  It is not to be blasted over the farm as other visiting guests are enjoying a day at the farm.
• Please, no balloons, silly string or anything else the animals or chickens could eat, outside on the grounds for the safety of our animals and the chickens.   Balloons are allowed inside the barn and MUST be cleaned up/swept after the party. Bounce houses are prohibted.
• All children must be monitored on the grounds during the parties.  Please do not allow children to chase, throw things, shoot nerf guns, feed or pickup the free range chickens.
• All dogs MUST stay on a leash.  By law, animals are not allowed in the produce fields.

Party Food Options!  You can bring your own food or we can provide the following:  Requires preorder of at least 2 weeks.

(Please note:  We do not have inground permanent grills in or outside of the barns, and fire code does not allow guests to bring in their own various types of grills.  We cannot refrigerator your food or allow you to come into our kitchen to cook or heat up your own food.  You are allowed to bring in your own prepared food, or purchase trays or individual meals from the Braehead Kitchen.  Caterers coming onsite for a party must be approved in advance by Braehead Farm and provide a Certificate of Insurance.)

Below are food trays that Braehead Farm can deliver to your party table in either The Red Shed or The Block Shed during your party!  We deliver at the top of the second hour of your party time which is, either  11:00 AM,  2:00 PM,  or 5:00 PM., unless you tell us otherwise.  (Hourly rentals are served as directed by the party host.)  The following has pricing for TRAYS that serve 10 people.
