**PICK-YOUR-OWN FIELDS: There is absolutely NO EATING in the fields. All produce must be brought to a cashier after picking, to pay BY WEIGHT. DO NOT PICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE. We currently do not charge a fee to go to our Pick-Your-Own fields, so PLEASE help us keep our costs/fees down by not eating in the fields, nor stealing from the fields, nor dumping trash or causing destruction/picking it to leave on the ground. Theft and destruction has become a huge issue and we appreciate those who respect the farm. **DO NOT PICK SOMETHING THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR. Check in with the market for all pricing, and field instructions before picking.
*Before going to pick, please check in with the market for field directions and to get a “busket” (basket/bucket!) or bring your busket from last year! We offer our pre-weighed 4 quart “Busket” for a $1.00 (it will hold about 5 pounds mounded). It is an aerated basket/bucket. We encourage you to wash and store your berries in it. Put your name on it and bring it back for any PYO! Our buskets are preweighed so that the weight of the containers are taken off of the berry weight/price. We do not tare/take the weight off of outside containers.
Do not wash your berries until you are ready to eat them! Keep them cool after picking or they will degenerate quickly!
PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED, BY LAW, IN THE FRONT PICK-YOUR-OWN PRODUCE PATCHES. You are welcome to bring your dog on a leash and pick up after them, in the GRASSY AREAS OR other areas of our farm. We prefer the dog NOT come into the market IF the market is busy and full of customers. WE would be glad to help you to get to the back of the market by walking around. Just remember that we have free range chickens. 🙂
- A quart equals 1 and 1/2 pounds of fresh berries. 1 quart = 2 pints = 4 cups and is about the same as 1 liter and weighs 1.25 lbs to 1.5 lbs (or 600 to 700g). The weight varies on variety and weather conditions. 1 quart is normally enough for 4 servings.
- Unripe berries will not ripen once picked. Select plump, firm, fully red berries. Be sure to pick the berry from the stem and leave the hulls on.
- Keep the out of the sun and heat after picking. Berries quickly mold and perish when left at room temperature, and only last about 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.
- You can easily freeze berries that you cannot use right away. Wash, cut the hulls off and put the berries into a ziplock bag, removing as much air as possible. The berries will keep for many months frozen without air.
- Braehead Farm berries are not sprayed with pesticides. The plants (before bearing fruit) may get a trickle fungicide during the winter. The fungicide we use is on the Green list.
- If you would like to help the farmer, please pick off any berries you see that have rot, insect or sun damage and put them between the rows. This helps to keep rot from spreading to the other berries on the plant.
Braehead Farm Market, Lunch Kitchen, and Family Playgrounds is open year round! You can purchase seasonal produce already picked or pick your own! Enjoy ice cream! The daily admission is $6.00 per person, children and adults. Age 2 and under are always free. You pay this admission in the market when you arrive. You can visit the farm animals, play in the hay barn, play equipment and picnic. We also offer a Seasonal Pass for unlimited visits during the 6 month pass dates. It is $25.00 per person, age 2 and under free.
March through Labor Day is our Spring and Summer Pass. The Fall Winter Pass goes from September through February! See a MARKET salesperson for details!

Gather with friends for a farm roast! Here at Braehead Farm we have fire pits, with picnic tables under shade trees in the Family Playgrounds! These fire pits and tables can be reserved for your special group! Each fire pit and picnic table (table seats about 10 adults) area is $55.00 and includes the wood for the fire, our staff will get the fire going and will extinguish the fire when finished. This firepit fee does not include our daily admission fee to the Family Playgrounds of $6.00 per person, age 2 and under free. Also, during an event such as Fall Festival or the Santa Event, there is an event fee to enter into the event.

Season Passes! Enjoy unlimited, daily play in the Family Playgrounds during operating hours with a Season’s Pass. A Seasonal Pass is $25.00 per person, age 2 and under free. The Spring Summer Season Pass starts for use on February 19, 2024 and goes through Labor Day, September 2, 2024. We then start our Fall Winter Season Pass from pre-sales starting on August 19, 2024 through February. (6 months) See cashier for details!
Note: Some special events will not be included in the pass or will have a separate or additional fee, such as our Fall Festival and Santa Event. Season Passes are non transferrable to other people and is non-refundable. The pass does not include staff led farm educational field trips and tours. They also are not for use of the barn rentals. Barn rentals are a separate fee with counted wristbands. The pass is for entry to the Family Playgrounds only and is not related to rental barns or field trips or special event fees.

WE HAVE FREE ADMISSION AREAS – Open everyday 9am-6pm Braehead Farm’s “Pick-Your-Own” fields in the front of the Braehead Farm Market never have an admission fee. Just pick your pumpkin, produce or flowers (SEE OUR “PICK YOUR OWN” PAGE FOR A LIST OF AVAILABLE BERRIES AND VEGGIES!) and pay for it in the Market! Pumpkins are sold for .75 cents a pound. We will also have plenty of pumpkins in the Market for those who do not want to pick! Pumpkins of all sizes, shapes, colors, gourds, squashes and colored squashes! We have corn stalk bundles at $9.00 per bundle and straw bales at $9.00 a bale too. We also offer a bulk pumpkin discount for our small pumpkins which are about the size of a large cantaloupe, at $2.00 per pumpkin and we pick them for you once you reserve them. All other bulk pumpkin orders are PYO by the pound.

WHEN: Every Saturday & Sunday WEEKEND beginning SATURDAY, September 28th THROUGH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Open October 14th holiday for *weekday fun! (No festival this day.)
COST: The entrance fee to The Fall Harvest Festival and Family Playgrounds is $15.00 per PERSON (plus tax), for children and adults. Children age 2 and under are free! (Our everyday entrance fee to the Family Play-Grounds is always $6.00 per person. The Fall Festival event is an additional $9.00 if wanting to attend, for a total of $15.00 for admission, plus tax.) PUMPKINS SOLD SEPERATELY at .75 cents per pound.
**2024 Fall/Winter Season Passholders only pay the Fall Festival event fee of $9.00, since the Season Pass gives access to the Family Playgrounds from August 19, 2024 through to February 28, 2025.

- There is never an admission in the front “pick-your-own fields”, you just pay for what you pick! We will have lots of pumpkins, squashes, gourds, flowers, sunflowers to pick! Grab a wagon and pick, then roll it into the market to purchase or you can check out at one of the outdoor checkouts! You can also join in the Fall Festival in the back of the farm. Just purchase your wristband at an outdoor or indoor checkout.

(The Fall Festival Area is closed during the weekdays.) Visit our front “Pick-Your-Own” fields for the perfect pumpkin (no admission) pumpkins are sold at .75 cents a pound. - Shop in the Braehead Farm Market where you can purchase a pumpkin already picked! Enjoy an ice cream cone, popcorn, pretzels, cookies, muffins and more!
Note: We do not run hayrides during the weekdays for guests in the “Family Playgrounds”. Hayrides during the week are reserved and paid for by school groups. Hayrides for guests are on the weekends in the Fall Festival only.
A note for our weekday guests: We do have school groups that come during the week and pick pumpkins, tour the farm, get a reserved hayride and educational lessons. The groups arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Their tours will be spread out around the farm for these lessons and take about two hours, and then they eat lunch. We do limit the amount of children coming on a school group as to not overload the farm or a tour group.
*SANTA IS COMING! The Braehead Farm Santa Event is always the first two weekends in December! Visit with Santa in The Red Shed and make Snowman Soup with Santa’s helpers! Make a marshmallow roasting stick and roast marshmallows over the many firepits! Play in the Family Playgrounds and visit the animals! Shop in the market and stay for hot chocolate and lunch.
Braehead Farm is open daily, year-round. Winter hours are 9am-5pm. Spring, Summer and Fall hours are 9am-6pm. The PYO fields do not have an admission fee to enter and are open daily to pick seasonal produce.
The Family Playgrounds is open every day! Play, picnic and visiting the animals. We have party barn rentals, picnic tables throughout and firepits!
